Exams ended on wednesday, and I definitely had a BLAST of a time.
After my paper, I met up with JY and after this and that and this and that we ended up at Downtown East NTUC chalets, where only 5 people (-_-) were there to stay over.
We (or they, actually) had a good time talking, and really fellowshipping and getting to know a lot more about one another. I was the only girl there (another -_-) but it didn't really matter, because I had the protection of my brothers who have undergone transformation after going through M3!
Yes! They have benifitted from this event, and I seen many changes within the brothers of W450. CONGRATS to david for winning the Transformation prize!
On Thursday, David, Daniel, De Shun and your truly were left in the chalet as JY had classes in the morning (poor guy didn't sleep) and we headed to Mac to eat breakfast.
AND I STILL HAVE NOT GOT TO EAT MY BAGEL.
WHAT IS THIS? HOW I FEEL? (A.K.A. Alex the new LJS poster boy)
Oh if you guys go to Long John Silver (LJS) to eat and see this poster off 2 guys promoting something for LJS, the one in blue and on the left (pointing at godknowswhat) is my friend and Scythia GL, ALEX.
So proud of him ey. HAHA.
Anyways, at night I went for the final M3 session, finally headed home.
I was so so tired laaa. But I wanted to complete a book.
Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China
by Jung Chang
This story is about the auther herself, and the 3 generations of women (her grandmother, mother, and herself) living in the time of Kuomintang and the Communists, and how they had survived.
It's really intersting to read about them, and the brutality of both the Kuomintang and Communists when they wanted to make their different ways of living work in China.
This book belongs to my dad (who would be appalled at the way that I'm treating this book, heh heh) in 1994 when I was a wee toddler at the age of 4. Pretty surprising as my dad doesn't really buy books and I'm usually the one spending money on books.
The author's parents were pro-Communism, and had participated actively. Therefore they had high rankings, and the author, together with 4 siblings, have lived in immensely good care.
However, danger was imminent everywhere, as the Communists had suspicions of nearly everyone, and to me (I hope no pro-communists people are here), I think Mao zedong was a bit too full of power to make right decisions, and when mistakes appeared he did not take the responsibility of them.
People were punished simply for reasons like not sharing food.
Good book. But still not done with it. It's damn thick lah. And it's not like Harry Potter where I can read real swiftly, this books really got content.
If only I can read my notes like this -_-
Oh well. Anyone has a copy of Titanic? Cos I just watched teh trailer and I REALLY WANNA WATCH IT AGAIN.
But lazy to go rent.
